While Martin Luther's treatise's we're not exactly about saved by grace and grace alone (the work of the cross of Christ): it was a protest of the church's manipulation and complication of Christian life and faith. Not long ago I heard a fellow Christian argue that he was not merely "saved" but also born again. The listeners were not only confused by this 'attempted' witness for Christ; nothing positive was achieved during this lengthy exchange. I believe the Gospel is not only good news it's also simple news. Father God has done the work and Jesus has provided the means and made salvation easy and simple! God loved and gave. We believe and receive.
